We believe Grandeur Peak is uniquely positioned to find interesting investments in this space because of the experience of our team, our disciplined process, and the nimbleness of our asset base.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) September 13, 2012
Grandeur Peak Global Advisors announced that the firm is now managing over $300M in assets, with the one-year anniversary of the Grandeur Peak Funds still a month away.
Said Grandeur Peak CEO Robert Gardiner, “We continue to be pleasantly surprised by the overwhelmingly positive response we have received. The global small/micro cap opportunity resonates with investors, and we believe Grandeur Peak is uniquely positioned to find interesting investments in this space because of the experience of our team, our disciplined process, and the nimbleness of our asset base.”
Of the $305M under management, roughly $230M are in the Global Opportunities strategy and $75M are in the International Opportunities strategy. Firm President Eric Huefner said, “If we continue to attract assets at this pace it won’t be too long before we will close the Global Opportunities strategy. We are committed to keeping our assets small because we believe nimbleness is a significant investment advantage in the small/micro cap space. We have outlined a ten-year product roadmap for Grandeur Peak, and we are considering the potential total assets of the firm’s current and future products as we decide where to close each strategy.”
Mark Siddoway, Head of Client Relations, added “Our firm was founded on the belief that to find what we believe are the best investments you have to search globally, and our Global Opportunities strategy has this broad scope. We also believe that foreign micro caps are the single most interesting equity sector for the coming decade, which makes our International Opportunities strategy uniquely interesting. Ultimately, Investors are selecting our fund(s) that best fit within their overall portfolio allocation.”
The Grandeur Peak Global Opportunities Fund (GPGOX/GPGIX) and the International Opportunities Fund (GPIOX/GPIIX) can be purchased directly from Grandeur Peak or through Schwab, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, Pershing, Vanguard, and other intermediary platforms.
