We truly believe that there was a spiritual reason for us to, quite by chance, come upon the sea buckthorn berry and realize the potential for numerous beauty and wellness applications in the western world

Sibu Beauty the company recognized for helping introduce the Omega 7 and nutrient-rich sea buckthorn berry to the western world announced today that “Brami” the annual Sea Buckthorn Harvest begins in the early morning hours of September 14th and continues through the end of October.

Thousands of villagers from Tibet and surrounding communities consider the annual harvest as a celebratory occurrence. The entire area, from which the Turkistanika sea buckthorn berries are grown, becomes involved in holiday-themed clothing, parades, musical events and more to give thanks to Mother Nature for providing them with this centuries-old and cherished fruit that helps to sustain them through the harsh winter months.

Sibu, LLC Founder and CEO, Bruce McMullin explained, “We truly believe that there was a spiritual reason for us to, quite by chance, come upon the sea buckthorn berry and realize the potential for numerous beauty and wellness applications in the western world. However, what struck us the most were the gracious people of the mountain communities and their honor, hard work ethic and the love they have for their precious and literally unscathed environment.” He continued by saying, “When we realized that many of these people have great difficulties in providing for their families and surviving the long and difficult winters, we made the decision to keep the work local and developed a fair-trade agreement.”

The Dalai Lama and numerous other influential lamas throughout the Himalayan communities continue to bless the sustainable efforts, developed by Sibu, because to them, “a hand up is better than a hand out” and it is far more honorable for a person to enjoy the fruits of their labor rather than accepting handouts.

Sibu LLC and their Sibu Beauty line of sea buckthorn-based beauty and wellness products is available through the website SibuBeauty.com and at over 4,000 retail locations throughout the US and Canada. All berries are harvested and processed through the fair trade agreement in the Himalayan Mountain communities and shipped to the USA for manufacturing and distributing.
