ELCE 2012 hosts CALSAE Lunch & Learn E-learning in Association Roundtable.

Elearning! Media Group (EMG), the exclusive industry magazine serving the learning and workplace technology market, announced the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) Lunch & Learn program to be hosted September 27th at the Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo 2012 in Irvine, CA. The CALSAE Lunch & Learn program entitled E-learning in Associations Roundtable, enables executives from professional, business and trade industry associations to see state of the art learning and workplace technologies to help advance membership engagement at ELCE.

With limited time and budgets for travel, especially for geographically challenged members in California, many associations have incorporated (or are considering introducing) elearning into their education and certification programs. To create successful elearning programs that enhance the value of membership, association leaders are left wondering:

  •     How do we launch a successful elearning program?
  •     How did other associations get started?
  •     What elearning tools and technologies are available and what experiences can be shared?
  •     How can we design elearning programs that connect and engage the audience?
  •     How can we measure the success of elearning?
  •     What are the best ways to market elearning programs?
  •     Webinars vs. webcasting vs. on-demand (streaming): when is each format most effective?
  •     How can we offer certification courses online and certify attendance so participants qualify for CEUs?

The CALSAE Lunch & Learn, is a unique opportunity to spend a few hours over lunch discussing these and other questions with peers who have their own experiences to share. This Lunch & Learn program will be hosted by CalSAE member Catherine Upton, CEO of Elearning! Media Group, and will be facilitated by Joe DiDonato, Editor at Large for Elearning! Media Group. Joe was Chief Learning Officer at PeopleSoft (now Oracle) and CTLO at Countrywide (now BAC), as well as former CEO of Interwise (now AT&T) and KnowledgePlanet (now Mzinga). He has also served as a board member for The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura and is the Co-Founder and Chairman of The Orphan Foundation – both 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.
