“Although these stories are, by and large, fiction, they could have in reality happened to someone … maybe someone like you!”

Delbert “Delby” Pape takes readers from the cold Alaskan climate to the warm weather of Mississippi and various places in between in his new collection of short stories, “Rocking Chair Confessions: Tales Told by a Texan … Some Partially True!” (published by iUniverse).

“I’ve enjoyed the wisdom and stories of well seasoned and mature people,” Pape explains. “Although written by me, I made every effort to ensure the various short stories were written as if they were written by various authors. These stories are fictitious but have elements of truth as related from my life experiences.”

In this collection of 23 short stories, Pape shares the incredible journeys of an eclectic group of characters from across the United States. They face difficult decisions, learn valuable lessons and embrace all the spontaneity that life has to offer.

Themes of family, trust, loyalty and curiosity make Pape’s stories and characters relatable to a variety of readers. The dynamics of interpersonal relationships are explored in depth in this new collection that will appeal to a wide variety of readers.

“Although these stores are, by and large, fiction, they could have in reality happened to someone … maybe someone like you!”
