God never gets tired of loving and pursuing those the world deems as worthless and beyond redemption,” he says. “There are people who live to be Jesus with skin on who love the filthy, the lost and the broken.

In his new Christian novel “No Road for Cowards” (published by CrossBooks), author Jarvis Huntley King draws heavily from his life as a born-again Christian and former drug addict to deliver a story about the power of faith.
Matt Fleming was a drug addict for over 30 years, but through the ministry of a faith-based treatment program and the saving grace of Jesus Christ he found freedom from addiction and a ministry in God's kingdom. With God in his life, Fleming finds the strength to confront the demons of his past, discovering that God has a plan for everyone.
An excerpt from “No Road for Cowards”:
“Many ‘hearers-of-the-word-only’ Christians, who Matt referred to as pew warmers, were guarded about telling people God had spoken to them. Some even cautioned Matt about going out on a ‘spiritual limb’ with regards to God’s commands and promises. What kind of trust did those people have in Jesus? The families of the bound and addicted didn’t need guarded optimism, or the power of positive thinking. They needed radical faith that spoke about the deliverance of their loved ones as if it had already happened. They needed to be reminded that God cared infinitely more than they did about His children.”
King hopes the focus on the power of faith in “No Road for Cowards” inspires readers to more closely follow God. “God never gets tired of loving and pursuing those the world deems as worthless and beyond redemption,” he says. “There are people who live to be Jesus with skin on who love the filthy, the lost and the broken.”
