Many people write their entire lives without publishing a book, but not debut author Mary Blue. More than seven decades of writing have been mined to create the collection “Mary Blue's Poetry” (published by AuthorHouse).
Blue’s lifelong inspiration for writing has been God; her belief and her faith have driven her passions, and now she presents some of the results to readers for the first time.
An excerpt from “Mary Blue’s Poetry”:
I have a friend that’s always there for me, I believe him when he says he will always be.
My friend will listen in the middle of the night, And assure me things will be all right.
He’s willing to forgive the foolish things I do, I’d like to introduce this friend to you.
He gave his life so we could be free, Nailed to the cross for you and me.
Open your heart if he calls, He will pick you up if you fall.
Blue’s wish for readers, upon finishing her book, is that they will discover her faith in the Lord, and she hopes that this evidence of her own devotion will encourage those readers to strengthen their own beliefs.
