8 Ball Comment on Northampton T Shirts Campaigning For Less Violence

The specialist retailers at leading UK firm, 8 Ball, have shared their thoughts on t shirts designed by Wellingborough school children designed to reduce violence in the local area.

8 Ball believe t shirts can promote interest and discussion amongst the public.

Staff in pubs, clubs, restaurants and businesses across Northamptonshire will be wearing t shirts containing the slogan “One Punch Can Kill” in an attempt to dissuade locals from violent activity. The t shirts, designed by Wellingborough students as part of a Dragon’s Den style competition, come following the tragic death of Stuart Martin, who was killed whilst on a night out in the county in 2010. Local staff plan to show their support for the campaign by wearing the garments at work.

The team behind 8 Ball, a company renowned for their collection of quirky and original designs, regularly partake in their own industry research and received this news with great interest. A representative from the firm shares their thoughts on the subject.

“Here at 8 Ball we think this is a great idea and it’s really positive to see that the community seem to be getting behind the idea. T shirts can be a really effective way to spread a strong message,” he explains.

He goes on to explain how 8 Ball believe t shirts can promote interest and discussion amongst the public.

“As we’ve seen in the past with some of our own designs, t shirts display a visible message which is a really great way of sparking conversation and debate about a popular or topical issue.”

8 Ball look forward to researching how the Northamptonshire campaign develops.
