The physicians we work with indicated that there was a real need for a first-rate aquatic physical therapy program in this area. So I’m proud to bring our comprehensive services to patients who live and work downtown

CHERRY HILL, NJ (PRWEB) September 17, 2012

AquaHab Physical Therapy has expanded its Greater Philadelphia aquatic and physical therapy practice to include a fifth location in the Center City area, with the new clinic scheduled to open August 2012. The company also introduced complimentary transportation in June, providing qualified patients with a free ride to their nearest clinic for scheduled appointments.

The new AquaHab Physical Therapy clinic is located at 1425 Arch St. in Center City Philadelphia, adjacent to the Le Meridian hotel, in the historic Elkins Memorial YMCA building. Both aquatic physical therapy and traditional land-based physical therapy treatments will be offered at the new clinic. Patients will have access to a wide range of physical therapy equipment within the clinic, while aquatic therapy will be conducted in the pool shared with Sweat Fitness, located within the same building.

“By opening a Center City Philadelphia physical therapy clinic, we’ve ‘connected the dots’ – our five locations now form a complete circle within the greater metropolitan area,” stated Les Littman, President and CEO of AquaHab, LP. “This means that all of our patients now have convenient access and a short commute to our aquatic and physical therapy services, no matter where they live or work. We’ve also introduced complimentary transportation to make it even easier for patients to reach to our clinics.”

AquaHab’s free transportation is available to those patients who do not have or cannot afford transportation, or who are unable to drive as a result of their injury or condition. The service is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will transport patients to and from scheduled appointments at their nearest clinic. For non-transportation patients, AquaHab’s regular hours are Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Our goal is to make it easy for patients to receive the care they need, whether they are undergoing rehabilitative therapy or seeking treatment for pain or chronic conditions,” said Littman. “Not only have we made it convenient for patients to get to our clinics, but we also make it affordable. We accept workers compensation, Medicare, major medical and most other types of insurance.”

He noted that AquaHab is the only physical therapy practice to offer both land-based and aquatic therapy in Center City Philadelphia. “The physicians we work with indicated that there was a real need for a first-rate aquatic physical therapy program in this area. So I’m proud to bring our comprehensive services to patients who live and work downtown,” Littman asserted. “Our practice is unique among other providers, in that we have 21 years of aquatic and physical therapy experience. And unlike local hospital clinics, where patients are treated and discharged, we are able to offer a complete wellness solution. Upon finishing treatment, our patients have the option to continue their exercise and/or aquatic program at the on-site gym. Sweat Fitness will even provide our patients with free trial memberships.”

Littman encourages anyone seeking a physical therapy clinic in Greater Philadelphia to schedule a free consultation with AquaHab Physical Therapy. New patients may request a free screening at any of AquaHab’s clinics – including Northeast Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Jenkintown or Cherry Hill – or at the new Center City clinic when it opens in August.
