The Alliance for Children and Families in Milwaukee, Wis., has been chosen as a fiscal agent for Youth Motivating Others through Voices of Experience (MOVE) National Inc. through a competitive request for proposal process.

The Alliance for Children and Families has been chosen as a fiscal agent for Youth Motivating Others through Voices of Experience (MOVE) National Inc. through a competitive request for proposal process.

The Alliance, a Milwaukee-based national nonprofit association with a member network of nearly 350 nonprofit, human serving organizations, began financially managing the organization Sept. 1, 2012. As its fiscal agent, the Alliance is responsible for the acceptance and maintenance, disbursement, accounting, and reporting for Youth MOVE National.

The contract lasts through Sept. 30, 2015, with options to renew the contract annually.

“The Alliance for Children and Families is honored to have the opportunity to serve as fiscal agent for Youth MOVE National,” said Susan Dreyfus, president and CEO of the Alliance. “Through our supporting role, we are happy to help the organization achieve its goals, such as developing opportunities for youth to meaningfully contribute to planning and implementing plans for their lives.”

Youth MOVE National, based in Rockville, Md., is a national youth-led organization devoted to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of individuals who have experience in various systems, including mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare. The organization promotes authentic youth engagement and positive youth development. Currently, there are 31 chapters in 26 states. More information is available at youthmovenational.org. Programs and services of Youth MOVE National include Dare to Dream America, the “One Million Strong” campaign, consulting and technical assistance pool, social networking and web-based assistance, youth advocacy for Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and conference youth track planning.
