Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream is celebrating its 50th year in business and is inviting all its loyal fans to a 50th birthday party September 21st-23rd as a thank you for the five decades of support that made the company a success.
Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, originally named Chocolate House, was founded by Chuck and Nancy Deadman as a candy shoppe that made and served 19 flavors of super-premium ice cream. Since its opening, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream has expanded to produce over 100 delicious, super-premium flavors, has grown to include three company owned shoppes and a small manufacturing plant, and has added hundreds of small business wholesale customers throughout the Midwest.
Although many expansions and additions have been made, the company has remained a Madison-based, family owned and operated company, now run by the founders’ two sons, Chuck Jr. and Dave Deadman, and has maintained the original philosophy that if you serve the best ice cream in town, you will attract more customers and keep them coming back for more. The Deadman family has continued the tradition of making small batch, super-premium ice cream for all fifty years, only using the best ingredients available: hormone-free Wisconsin cream, pure cane sugar and natural flavorings.
To celebrate the last 50 years of business and give thanks to all the customers who have supported the company throughout the years, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream will be throwing a 50th birthday party at each of the three company owned shoppes from Friday, September 21st through Sunday, September 23rd. The birthday party will feature fun activities for the whole family, including friendly ice cream competitions and games, trivia, crafts, and a cake cutting event. Enter a ‘name the flavor’ tasting competition or test your Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream trivia knowledge to win fun prizes and free ice cream. Also available will be face painting, cow mask coloring, and tie-dying your very own ‘Happy Birthday Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream’ t-shirt.
