Look inside the bags of top professionals around the world, one is sure to find Storm as a leading brand within the sport of bowling. With the likes of Jason Belmonte, Norm Duke, Pete Weber, and Diandra Asbaty winning major events this past season, Storm has led the PBA tour in wins for the past six years running.
Storm’s new Lucid ball was meticulously designed to create a serious backend hook. Its increased entry angle has the advantage of giving the bowler a wider pocket. Consequently, there is literally more margin for error when the user opens up the back part of the lane. In order to create that extra backend hook without sacrificing any mid-lane traction and performance, Storm developed an amazing new coverstock coupled with a later break point position and a sharper transition shape.
Starting at the center, the heart of the bowling ball, the Storm technical team incorporated one of its strongest designs to date, an asymmetrical shape known as the M.A.D. core. Maximum Accelerating Disc technology optimizes the shapes of the RG planes to allow the bowler to perfectly dial a desired reaction. Moving to the shell, the new ERG coverstock utilizes similar technology from the NRG coverstock but without the Nano additive. Evolution Reactive Genesis, or ERG, is closer to a pure reactive which creates a later break point, putting more emphasis on the backend. Look for more entry angle, up more than 10%, and increased hitting power from the new Lucid ball.
Prepped with a 4000-grit smooth matte finish, the Lucid can be easily adjusted to fit anyone’s game. Polish it up to get it through the choppiest heads or scuff it with a surface pad to better read the mid-lane.
The new Lucid by Storm clearly sets itself apart from the competition. View it and other great bowling products at smartbowler.com. Smartbowler pro shops are dedicated to providing bowlers at all levels the best in products, services, and guidance to enhance their enjoyment of the game.
