Henry County Illinois' Tourism Bureau Invites Racing at the First Annual Annawan Fall Festival

The Village of Annawan, Illinois is pleased to present the ANNAWAN CANAL AMBUSH Mini-Triathlon and 5k on October 6, 2012. The Annawan Canal Ambush will kickstart a day’s worth of activities for the town’s first ever ‘Fall Into Annawan’ festival.

The Village of Annawan, Illinois is pleased to present the ANNAWAN CANAL AMBUSH Mini-Triathlon and 5k on October 6, 2012. Enjoy a beautiful autumn trail run along the stunning Hennepin, flat & easy bike ride along Patriot Way and exhilarating paddle (canoe or kayak) down the canal to victory. All ability levels are encouraged to register!

The race offers several options:
1. 5k Run/Walk – down and back along the surfaced Hennepin Canal Trail
2. Mini-Triathlon Singles – 1.5 mile run, 6.7 mile bike & 1.8 mile paddle
3. Mini-Triathlon 2-Person Relay – person A runs 1.5miles, person B bikes 6.7 miles & both paddle 1.8 miles together to finish

The starting gun will fire at 9am. All races will begin together. A limited number of kayaks and canoes are available for reservation, so sign up today!
