The Evernote Trunk just got a little bigger. IPEVO, a maker of technology products for education, business and consumers, has announced that its USB document cameras and new Presenter application have been added to the Evernote Trunk, a collection of apps and hardwares which help users make the most out of their Evernote account.

Evernote is a multimedia notetaking application which collects a wide range of noteworthy material into a single, easy-to-use interface. Material includes web pages, pictures, text, scanned documents, audio files and more. This media is stored in Notebooks and can be synced between the user's computer, tablet and smartphone. Notes can also be shared and collaborated upon with other Evernote users. Evernote can be downloaded for free at http://www.evernote.com, and a paid premium upgrade is available for users in need of numerous additional features, such as a larger monthly upload limit.

Evernote features the Evernote Trunk, a collection of third-party apps and hardware which serves to enrich the core Evernote experience. The Trunk's newest addition is IPEVO. The Presenter is the just-released software application which serves as an interface and toolkit for IPEVO's line of best-selling USB document cameras. Cameras include the Point 2 View and the Ziggi.

With Presenter, users of either one of these cameras can capture snapshots within Presenter, review and organize them, and then send selected snapshots (in .jpg format) directly to the Evernote account linked to Presenter. This can be accomplished in a few clicks, and users can log in and out of Evernote using Presenter. As such, Presenter facilitates the transfer of high quality snapshots (of textbooks, handwritten notes and more) to Evernote. This is particularly useful in an education context for both teachers and students.

"IPEVO and Evernote is an ideal partnership because we both have a keen interest in education technology," said Royce Hong, CEO and big head of design of IPEVO. "Evernote recognizes that notetaking has gone well beyond a pen and pad of paper. We exist in a rich multimedia world, and notetaking for education, business and individuals should be no exception. With Presenter's integrated Evernote support, Evernote users now have an extremely easy way to create rich visual notebooks with high quality snapshots, and then share that material with peers."

The Point 2 View and Ziggi document cameras are both available through the IPEVO online store at http://www.ipevo.com, as is the IPEVO Presenter software. The Evernote notetaking app may be downloaded for free at http://www.evernote.com.
