“Food Is My Orgasm” Tyrone Pierre Dumas’ thesis on why, how, what of promoting better eating for America is tied to many factors in modern life affecting the way food is seen

Food and sex are joined together at the hip in this funny take on the importance of food in one person’s life as opposed to sex. Given the choice between these two fundamental human activities, in Food Is My Orgasm author Tyrone Pierre Dumas makes his choice obvious, comic, but relevant for a healthier psychological center to the American lifestyle. Every area of normal human activity is given importance but Dumas’ way of making meals “sexy” (read: very attractive), programming diets that engender peaks of extremely pleasurable sensations and the most intense emotional excitement, makes the case for food as the true source of human inspiration (especially of sex).

The author challenges his audience to love all kinds of food and at the same time eat healthier. His discussion of various types of diets through ten chapters tells how food should be intrinsically balanced into all sorts of lifestyles and activities. Sex, especially has natural corollaries in dieting which will make it a physically healthier, more enjoyable endeavor. A good meal of the food and recipes in this book will blank sex out – readers (the author assures) will forget about sex and how it turns them on. The food talked about is a personal account of one man’s quest to make people forget about sex altogether, especially while eating.

It all begs the question: can sex and eating be done at the same time? The author is silent in this regard. What he has made though is a kind of philosophical etiquette that demands people to pay attention to what they eat to better able to put everything into perspective. It is a study of the human heart and its desires. Dumas is for having the heart have its due – to release it from the burden of overly worrying about all the issues attached to its nature.
