Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) September 15, 2012
The Los Angeles personal injury law firm of BISNAR CHASE has announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and felony conviction of a man who left the scene of a car accident after fatally injuring 63-year-old Amos Romasoc. According to a Sept. 11 City News Service report, Romasoc of Los Angeles was on the west side of Western Avenue just south of Romaine Street early morning on September 10, 2012 when he was hit by a 2010 Chrysler Sebring. Romasoc was pronounced dead at the scene.
City News Service reports that witnesses saw the Sebring weaving through northbound traffic on Western just before it struck Romasoc and crashed into a tree. Witnesses told police that the suspect and a passenger got out of the car and fled west on Romaine and then removed their shirts as they ran into an apartment building at 5460 Santa Monica Blvd. The report states that 25 minutes later the two suspects drove away in a blue Mazda. The driver has been described as a white male in his 20s, 5 feet 10 and between 140 and 150 pounds. The passenger was described as a black man in his 20s. The license plate of the Mazda, according to the report, is 6UGCO50.
Anyone with information about this fatal hit-and-run crash is asked to contact the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division at 213-473- 0234. In addition, BISNAR CHASE's Hit-and-Run Reward Program offers a $1,000 reward for tips through its Hit and Run Reward Program (http://www.hitnrunreward.com) that lead to the arrest and felony conviction of this and any other hit-and-run driver. These anonymous tips may be provided through the WeTip crime hotline, 800-6-Hit-N-Run (800-644-8678).
"My thoughts and prayers go out to Amos Romasoc's family members and friends who are grieving this terrible loss," said John Bisnar, founder of BISNAR CHASE and the Hit-and-Run Reward Program.
It is crucial that hit-and-run drivers be apprehended and held accountable so other drivers are discouraged from committing these crimes. "What kind of a person strikes and seriously injures a human being and leaves him dying on the roadway without stopping to help?" said Bisnar. "Not only is leaving an injured person at the scene of a crash an unconscionable act, but it is also illegal. As citizens and members of this community, we can play a part in ending this epidemic. Enough is enough."
