Two multiple Ironman finishers, and leaders within Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY), will give it their all in the spirit of competition to support families of sick children. TEAMPHLY Battle in the Lava Fields is a competition to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®).
Philadelphia Insurance Chairman and CEO Jamie Maguire and Vice President of Customer Service Seth Hall are competing in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI on Saturday, October 13th. They’re raising money by inviting the public to visit http://www.phly.com/battle and vote for who they think will have the fastest time.
“TEAMPHLY is all about giving back through competition,” said Maguire, a veteran of two Ironman World Championships. “Kona is the ultimate test and also provides a tremendous opportunity to help families through Ronald McDonald House Charities.”
“My family will be with me to cheer me on in Hawaii and keeping families together when children are facing a serious medical crisis is the goal of Ronald McDonald House,” shared Hall, a multiple Ironman and marathon finisher. “This organization does so much to keep families together and I’m inspired to give it my all.”
Battle in the Lava Fields features bios of both athletes, as well as their equipment and personal mantras. The public can vote at http://www.phly.com/battle for who they think will win by making a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities. For every $5 donated online, individuals will be entered into a raffle to win a brand new Specialized (Roubaix men’s or Ruby women’s) road bike courtesy of High Road Cycles.
