Orange County, as the summer nears the end; WAGS (Westminster Adoption Group and Services) Pet Adoption – http://wagspetadoption.org has an overcrowding of animals. Although adoptions for the summer have exceeded 150, there are too many animals living at WAGS. Currently, WAGS is housing over 200.
Dr. Tia Greenberg, DVM has stated “ We are astonished by the number of animals brought to WAGS since April 2012” she continues “ Our community requires education about spay and neuter programs”.
WAGS has had three events since June to lessen the population and offer discounted pet adoption. Currently, WAGS is running an “Empty Nester” special of $10 adoptions. This offer is for anyone potential adoptee that completes the application, has proper housing options and ready to bring home new family member.
WAGS is calling on the Orange County, Southern California local community to adopt not buy their next pet- Each pet comes with all up to date medical, flea control, de-worming, micro-chip ID and spay/neuter. The adoption package is valued at $500 for only $10.
