An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, T.D., announces the creation of 20 jobs at CMS Peripherals in Kiltimagh, County Mayo

The Graduate Academy fast-tracks graduates to careers in the data storage industry. The first wave of 10 began on August 1st, 2012 and have just completed their first 6 weeks of intensive storage industry specific training. The initiative is supported by Enterprise Ireland.

An Taoiseach, Mr. Enda Kenny, T.D., today officially announced the creation of 20 new jobs at CMS Peripherals as intake to their Graduate Academy. CMS Peripherals is the largest independent value added distributor of business and consumer data storage products and solutions in the UK and Ireland.

The Graduate Academy fast-tracks graduates to careers in the data storage industry. The first wave of 10 began on August 1st, 2012 and have just completed their first 6 weeks of intensive storage industry specific training. The initiative is supported by Enterprise Ireland.

According to Frank Salmon, CMS Peripherals’ Founder and Group MD, “This initiative is aimed at supporting the growing number of resellers we serve. It is our plan to recruit our next wave of 10 graduates early next year. We are delighted to have an Taoiseach visit our office to launch the program and address our employees and a number of key partners.”

Pat O’Grady, Enterprise Ireland said, "Enterprise Ireland's strategy is to promote the development of innovative Irish companies and to support their growth to achieve strong positions in Ireland and abroad. CMS is an example of such a company and we are delighted to support this initiative.”

According to Michael Callaghan, MD of CMS Peripherals in Ireland, “We have a wealth of knowledge that we have accumulated over the past 24 years and the Graduate Academy is the perfect platform to impart that knowledge to the graduates in the most efficient way. We are delighted that the Graduate Academy is supported by both an Taoiseach and Enterprise Ireland. We look forward to building further on this program in 2013 with the second phase of the program and the creation of 10 more roles.”
