The success of any event-based fundraising effort depends on the organising charity’s ability to attract attention and encourage enthusiastic donations towards the cause. For Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation (LNADJ.com), a well-known charity in the UK, a walkabout photo system from Shoot Systems has made it easier and more exciting to raise funds.
Jonny Lee, co-Founder of LNADJ says, “Working with people who believe in what we are doing is always a great start to a positive working relationship. Having Shoot Systems donate their walkabout photo system for us to use in Ibiza this season has given us a great method of capturing many images whilst at the same time fundraising. Capturing some of the unforgettable moments of friendship whilst in a nightclub is something that all friends want to share forever. As guests get excited about being photographed in the nightclub with their friends against our name board, they are happy to put their donations in the bucket. The photo system has allowed us to raise an extra 300-400 Euros per night which has been an excellent financial boost for our Ibiza Heart Project.”
Speaking about the ease of use of the system, Lee adds, “Within a matter of hours any member of our promotional team were able to fully use the walkabout photo system as if it was their own. Having backup support only a phone call away has meant we always had an answer for everything and were never left fumbling around on our own. Guests at the nightclub, ‘We Love Space’, were never kept waiting due to any technical glitches with the photo system. We are grateful for the donation from Shoot Systems for this event in Ibiza and wherever we can, we will certainly be recommending that others, especially event planners and charities use this quality photo system.”
Dave Simmons, owner and Managing Director of Shoot Systems says, “LNADJ.com is already a big name and a recognised charity. When they organise fundraisers at discos and nightclubs, they use a name board promoting their charity. People love to be photographed with this name board as they value the association with the cause and the charity’s brand. Because the interest level of nightclub patrons wanting to be photographed with the LNADJ brand is already so high, the charity was looking for ways to maximize this interest and turn it into charitable donations for their Ibiza Heart Project. We donated our walkabout photo system because it is totally portable, extremely easy to use, fast and also QR code-enabled. LNADJ has already seen huge success for this event and its usage has been extended to other venues such as Mambos Beach and The Zoo project, and has now also been used at UK festivals. LNADJ.com expects to pull in more funds as the service becomes even more popular and patrons who have been photographed start sharing their photos over social media channels.”
Patrons of the Ibiza nightclub can get their photos taken anywhere along with the LNADJ name board. A staff photographer uses the walkabout photo system to take a photo, shows it to the guests on a screen and gives them a printed ticket with a QR code. Depending on Internet availability, guests simply have to scan the QR code on their SmartPhone to be taken directly to the microsite where their photos are available. They can then copy, save, share on Facebook and email the photos right away without having to enter page URLs and receipt codes / Ids.
