National Tech PR Event to be Held Sept. 27-28 at Georgia Tech Research Institute
The HyperConnections Summit: Smashing Out-of-the-Box in Tech PR will be held for all public relations professionals, especially those with interest in technology, on Sept. 27-28, 2012, hosted by the Tech Section of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). This inaugural event is chaired and led by Aspectx president and founder, Dawn Marie Yankeelov who is also this year’s PRSA Tech Section Chair. Register Here.
The HyperConnections Summit: Smashing Out-of-the-box in Tech PR is designed to provide PR practitioners and marketers with intelligence, education and tools for successful communications. The two-day summit, with a pre-networking night, will have a mix of sessions that address the complexities of hyperconnection in an expanding global, online environment as well as the reputation management and technology solutions. This live event is designed to allow for relevant debates and discussions with panel formats, time for personal exchanges amidst educational sessions, and a magnified look at how digital assets are evolving.
The Summit will provide a mix of how-to presentations, panel discussions on the changing environments of content delivery, demonstrations of new technologies, case studies and dialogues with relevant media and bloggers.
“The organizing committee has worked with TAG and PRSA to build a program useful to anyone involved in communications outreach from social media strategists to brand managers to public relations professionals in technology. This conference will deliver an integrated platform of options based on real-world case studies and personal insights from business leaders, and journalists in the field,” said Dawn Yankeelov, this year's Chair of the Technology Section.
Presentations will show participants cutting-edge strategy and tactics in the areas of communications outreach from mobile payments, to search engine optimization to corporate communications to digital social engagement. Top-level executives from companies including Bloomberg, Bad.gy, Fiserv, NetWorld Alliance, Rubbermaid, BYNDL, and Sprint are scheduled to present at the Summit. Attendees will learn from both large corporate campaigns, as well as more grassroot efforts designed to shift growth patterns.
The two-day summit is still taking registrants, and is open to all those working in marketing and PR. Special discounts apply for TAG and PRSA members at $529, and walkins will be accepted at the door, if seating remains.
This is the first time that the Technology Section of PRSA has held a national event in the Southeast. “Atlanta is one of the top chapters for PRSA in the country, as well as being the one of the largest technology markets in the country. TAG represents more than 16,000 members alone from 1,700 tech and tech-enabled companies. The PRSA Tech Section believes this is a market where innovation and transformation in information technology is cultivated and it is an excellent location to bring tech public relations professionals together,” Yankeelov said.
Through this Summit, webinars, seminars and related newsletters and other forum resources, the PRSA Technology Section nurtures practitioners in new digital social engagement and multi-channel communications.
The HyperConnections Summit will be held at the Georgia Tech Research Institute Conference Center at 250 14th Street N.E., Atlanta, GA, 30318. For more information and to register, visit http://www.prsa.org/Conferences/HyperConnections/.
