CrowdSource, the industry leader in managed crowdsourcing solutions, announced today that Peter Jackson has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development. He will focus on developing new business, strategic relationships and partnerships.
“Peter has led several high-growth technology companies and has extensive experience building strategic partnerships and leading corporate development. His experience and leadership will help us capitalize on the rapidly growing market for scalable labor solutions,” commented Stephanie Leffler, CEO and Co-Founder of CrowdSource. “Our goal was to find a proven leader who could help us expand our presence in Silicon Valley, and Peter is the perfect fit.”
Peter has served as the CEO of Granite Systems, Dataflex, Intraware, Ground Works Open Source, and Kanjoya where he led several of these companies from concept to over $100 million in revenue. Peter has served on the Board of Directors or as an Advisor for Eventbrite, Townhog, Kanjoya, Intraware, and Enthuse. Peter was Red Herring’s 1998 Entrepreneur of the year, a two time finalist for Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year, and was a past Chairman of YPO.
“I spent most of this year studying the growing market for crowdsourced labor services and focused my efforts on the idea of providing a scalable, US-based workforce capable of producing high-quality results to help companies reduce cost and increase productivity,” stated Jackson. “I started with the idea of building my own crowdsourcing company but quickly realized that everything I could ever hope to accomplish was well underway at CrowdSource. I am very fortunate to be joining a company with great people, leadership and vision.”
“Peter’s impressive history of uncovering and closing large-scale deals will help us build strong channel partnerships and expand our enterprise customer base. His previous companies were built around teamwork and are very similar to what we have built at CrowdSource. We are excited to welcome him to our team,” said Leffler.
