Waterfront Properties Congratulates Pacific Links Hawaii Championship Golfers from South Florida

The players, from the community of Singer Island and the city of West Palm Beach, participated in the inaugural Champions Tour event on Oahu.

Several golfers from Palm Beach County – Waterfront Properties and Club Communities’ headquarters – rank in the top 30 and are starting a week of practice rounds on the East Lake Golf Club.

A couple of South Florida golf pros traveled half way across the world this month to Kapolei, Hawaii, to play in the inaugural Pacific Links Hawaii Championship.

Lance Ten Broeck, who lives in one of the many waterfront homes on Singer Island, finished in 48th place at the tournament. Ten Broeck, 56, shot a one under par for a final-round score of 75.

P.H. Horgan III, of West Palm Beach, finished tied for 68th place with pros Brad Faxon and Craig Stadler. Horgan, 52, shot a four over par for a final-round score of 71.

Willie Wood captured the event and, in doing so, put himself on a course to qualify for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz. The season-ending tournament will take place in November.

While players on The Champions Tour concentrate on making it to the Grand Canyon State, PGA Tour players are looking ahead to the FedExCup Playoffs in Atlanta. Several golfers from Palm Beach County – Waterfront Properties and Club Communities’ headquarters – rank in the top 30 and are starting a week of practice rounds on the East Lake Golf Club.

The No.1-ranked player in the standings is Rory McIlroy, a member of The Bear’s Club in Jupiter. McIlroy, 23, is followed by Tiger Woods, 36, who built one of the most unique homes on Jupiter Island in 2011. The No. 7-ranked player is 28-year-old Dustin Johnson, also a member of The Bear’s Club. The No. 14- and No. 15-ranked players, respectively, are Keegan Bradley, 26, of Jupiter, and Luke Donald, 34, of The Bear’s Club.

Ernie Els, 42, and Rickie Fowler, 23, both of Jupiter, sit at Nos. 22 and 27 in the standings.

The TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola gets underway Sept. 20 and wraps up Sept. 23.
