Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 18, 2012
XOS Digital, Inc., the leading provider of sports video technology and digital media solutions, today announced the relocation of XOS Digital’s headquarters to Downtown Orlando. The announcement was made by Mark Hudgins, executive vice president of finance and administration, XOS Digital.
XOS Digital, a two-time Inc. 500 company, will move its headquarters to the GAI building on the southwest corner of Summerlin Avenue and South Street in Downtown Orlando. Currently located in Lake Mary, Fla., the company will move downtown in two phases.
The relocation will begin in December and wrap up in spring 2013 in order to keep the technology infrastructure in place throughout the football and basketball seasons. XOS Digital will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony after the final stage of relocation this spring.
“This is an exciting time for XOS, as we are quickly expanding and outgrowing our current office,” said Hudgins. “We have added more than 55 jobs in the past six months to support the growth of our digital media and coaching technology customers including the SEC, BIG EAST, C-USA, MAC, WCC, PAC 12, Southland, NFF and FIU.”
XOS Digital provides advanced video technology platforms that enable sports organizations to improve team performance, monetize their digital media assets and connect with fans. Among teams in the BCS (Bowl Conference Series), 80 percent use XOS products including Thunder video editing software, HD Replay, PlayerOnDemand recruiting library and official mobile and tablet applications for sports fans.
“XOS is a household name in the collegiate and professional sports industry, and we want the same in our local community,” Hudgins said. “The central location of the GAI building is ideal to raise awareness of XOS, aid future recruitment and provide our valued employees with a more vibrant live, work and play environment.”
Central Florida is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas and one of the biggest clusters of digital media companies in the South. In addition to the location, economic incentives played a key role in the decision to move downtown.
“The city and GAI developer, Craig Ustler, really worked with us to make this happen, making the already vibrant location with numerous amenities and offerings highly attractive to us,” Hudgins said. “The recent revitalization of downtown and Orlando’s investments in several community venues demonstrate their effort to continually improve and enhance city living.”
Many XOS employees will relocate to join those currently living downtown. XOS is also working with those living outside of Orlando to find creative solutions to avoid high traffic volumes, such as flexible work hours, until SunRail is available.
XOS Digital will move into the first and fifth floors of the seven-story GAI building to occupy a total of 21,000 square feet. The building is downtown Orlando’s first privately developed green office and is designed to meet the requirements of LEED® Silver (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standard.
“This is a state-of-the-art building that we will be proud to bring our current and prospective clients to,” Hudgins said. “We are working closely with the architects to create a dynamic layout for the Class-A work environment the GAI building and location provide.”
