Brightstar Corp., the world’s largest wireless distribution company and leader in services for the wireless industry, today announced that Ramon Colomina has joined the company as president of its Supply Chain Solutions division.
A seasoned global supply chain management executive, Mr. Colomina will direct the growth and manage the execution of Brightstar’s supply chain services and solutions for wireless manufacturers, operators and retailers worldwide. The company manages all or part of the device supply chain for more than 60 customers, including some of the world’s leading wireless operators and retailers; and it is expanding its global presence and offerings in this industry segment.

Prior to joining Brightstar, Mr. Colomina was an executive partner in Accenture’s global management consulting practice, leading the communications and high tech supply chain practice, the supply chain strategic planning services practice, and the operations and process transformation practice in North America. He worked with a broad range of clients, including Cingular/AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, Sprint-Nextel, Ericsson, Dell, Lockheed Martin and Alstom. Before Accenture, Mr. Colomina was a key accounts manager at BT, a global communications services company. He also worked as a product manager for Sony Corporation, and was responsible for several consumer and professional product lines.
Mr. Colomina earned a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering from the TelecomBCN School of Engineering in Spain.
