KTLA's Wendy Burch, KTTV's Christine Devine, the Co-Host of "Good Day LA," Dorothy Lucey, and NBC's Ana Garcia are names and faces known to us all, and have much they're willing to share. All four women are "Good News Girls," members of "The Good News Foundation;" an organization founded by television journalists to recognize, reward and create good news. The panel, "How to Use Your Passion to Create Impact," will make these women and their accumulated wisdom available, discussing subjects that you won't see on the nightly news: how to make causes important to you and important to the community at large. The California Women’s Conference (CWC) is proud to announce they have added a few speakers to this upcoming weekends line-up including, Oscar De La Hoya, Marianne Williamson, Deepak's daughter Mallika Chopra as well as Chris and Heidi Powell to an already impressive list. In addition, Ms. Julia Roberts has recorded her own special remarks that will be used to open the Conference.

The California Women's Conference is a forum that's acknowledged internationally, bringing women the world's most influential voices, minds and hearts. In the past three decades women in the United States have grown to constitute the third-largest market in the world, therefore this year's theme is “The Women's Economy Starts Here.”

About the California Women's Conference: The California Women's Conference (CWC), is an annual non-partisan event, and was created in 1985 by then-Governor George Deukmejian, to address the high failure rate among women-owned businesses by giving women entrepreneurs greater access to funding and other helpful resources. Selecting the city of Long Beach as the event's host, city officials and businesses quickly became enthusiastic supporters.
