Meta Watch Ltd. of Dallas, Texas and SoundOfMotion of Vancouver, Canada announcing at the Interbike Show in Las Vegas, NV a partnership to integrate its VeloComputer and AlpineSport mobile application with the Meta Watch STRATA smartwatches.
SoundOfMotion has recently released new VeloComputer Bluetooth Smart Sensor 4 for track, road and mountain biking, focusing on high precision performance measurement and ergonomic information delivery. The new Smart Sensor combined with VeloComputer mobile application calculates precise distance, spot speed, acceleration, cadence, grade and power.
VeloComputer Smart Sensor uses Bluetooth 4.0 (low energy technology) to connect with Android phones, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. AlpineSport is another mobile application designed for tracking and sharing performance data such as speed or pace, route, cadence, air time, strides and G-forces in running, mountain biking, snowboarding, alpine and cross country skiing.

The VeloComputer Bluetooth Smart Sensor can be pre-ordered through kickstarter.com from $150 to $180. The retail price is set at $200. There is also a team package available for $1,250 that includes VeloCoach tablet application for coaches with donation of one sensor to a paralympian wheelchair athlete.
