New Business Partnership To Focus On Producing Up-and-Coming Acts

We’re ready to create the new music industry paradigm.

A telecommunications veteran has joined forces with a seasoned music producer to heat up the airwaves. Business executive Reginald Scales and urban music guru Rsonist, of the production team The Heatmakerz, announced their new partnership today.

Diamond District Music Group will have offices in both New York City and Los Angeles. The team plans to sign new talent to production deals, as well as co-produce artists from their Times Square recording facility, Diamond District Studios.

“We’re ready to create the new music industry paradigm,” said Scales, of Los Angeles. “There’s so much amazing talent out there right now. All they need is the right environment to nurture their creativity and help them reach the next level.”

Rsonist, who has written hit tracks for artists such as Beyoncé, Juelz Santana and DJ Khaled, recently signed a management contract with Scales. Their Diamond District Music Group endeavor comes on the heels of the opening of Diamond District recording studios in New York City, which they co-own with other investors.

The new music group is the culmination of several decades of success in both the telecom and music industries, with Scales having managed a $500 million corporation while Rsonist was busy selling more than 20 million records.

Diamond District Music Group is hoping to earn several platinum records of its own. Currently, Diamond’s artistic team is working with Syesha Mercado, who placed third in the seventh season of the television show “American Idol.”

The Heatmakerz recently finished composing beats for Kanye West and Lil Wayne.
