There are two things that are always heard over and over again when it comes to the game of golf which is it’s 98 percent mental and one should not over think while playing or else, things will mess up. But, if a golf player can over think, then how could it be 98 percent mental—that’s a lot of thinking, right? A lot of confusion in this recreation we’ve chosen. The truth of the matter is that there is quite a bit of thinking in this game. The key is when, what, and how to think throughout the game.

Golf, one of the world’s greatest sports will always be a mental game. It cannot be played if the mind is in the wrong place. It’s Just A Game written by Douglas McKeever shares to readers and golf enthusiast how to put the right mindset and how to think through every shot from driving to putting in the very challenging sport of golf. Within the pages of this book, McKeever teaches readers the art of playing golf using simple terms and in practical situations.

However, McKeever clarifies that he’s not teaching what club to use or how hard to hit. He teaches what to think when a golf player is about to tee off or hit an approach shot and how to turn a negative shot to a positive thought because he/she must remain as relaxed as possible to have a good round.

It’s Just A Game is an interesting and helpful book that keeps the pleasure of playing golf alive within the heart. It helps those who plays golf to have a correct mind-set by being realistic about one’s ability in playing the game, to relax on any given circumstances by controlling the emotion, and most importantly, to have fun in the golf course while enjoying the beauty of that great outdoors.
