It is important to teach children early that they can achieve their dreams. Having higher aspirations and working towards them is a key building block for success. In his new children’s book Tobey the Zebra: and the Adventures of the Yellow Car (published by Trafford Publishing) author and artist Logan Mifflin teaches kids to dream big.
This endearing tale of perseverance tells the story of Tobey, a zebra with big dreams living in the Penny Park Zoo. His friends let him know his fantasy is impossible, but Tobey has high hopes and will never give up. Young readers will join Tobey on his exciting joyride around the zoo, and help him shout to all his friends in the middle of the night.
Tobey the Zebra is a fun short story for kids, whether bedtime or anytime. It is an educational experience that parents will love to share with their children as they learn to never give up their hopes and aspirations.
The illustrations within the book are also created by the author. “I’m a new artist as well as a writer,” he explains. “My drawings are down to a young child’s level as they are done with crayon, by scratch, without a pencil outline.” Mifflin’s art combined with his storytelling is something that young readers are sure to relate to and get excited about.
