Craig Olson of The Casual Christian explores whether Iran is preparing a nuclear attack on Israel. Will Israel strike first? Will escalating tensions between Islamic terrorists and America lead to a face-off with Iran, Russia and China? Will America's waning influence in the Middle East leave us impotent to influence events on our behalf? Olson answers these and other questions in a new series of articles on what the Bible predicts about current events in the Middle East.

Having advance knowledge of upcoming events can be worth millions if you are an investor. But knowing the ultimate outcome of the battle between the forces of good and evil can mean the difference between surviving and thriving and ruin and destruction.

A series of articles by Craig Olson of The Casual Christian explores what the Bible has to say about unfolding events in the Middle East with regard to:
1. What fuels the hatred between Arabs and Jews.
2. Why the Muslim faith has such widespread appeal among even those who claim to oppose religious intolerance.
3. Which modern nations are aligned with Babylon, the biblical name for the kingdom of Satan.
4. Who is the religious leader called the False Prophet described in the book of Revelation and what is his religion.
5. How to identify the world leader the Bible calls the 'Antichrist,' the man who opposes Israel and tries to establish himself as a world ruler.
6. Whether America is mentioned in Bible prophecy, and, if so, what role it plays in end time events.
7. Whether Israel's enemies will ultimately succeed in destroying her or themselves be destroyed.

WHAT IS SHAPING CURRENT EVENTS?

In just the past few years, age-old hostilities between Arabs and Jews have enveloped the entire western world and threaten to engulf the Middle East in a battle over Israel that could pit Iran, Russia and China against the United States and her NATO allies.

These developments are not a surprise to those who are familiar with Bible prophecy about the end times. According to the Bible, the regathered nation of Israel will become the focal point for a global conflict between the forces of Satan and the kingdom of Christ.

SETTING THE STAGE:

The Old Testament Prophets, the Gospels, and the book of Revelation describe today's unfolding events in great detail. They depict what transpires in heaven as Christ readies himself to take up his earthly kingdom and Satan tries to pre-emptively establish his own rule.

These events are mirrored on earth by the increasing hostility towards Israel, God's chosen nation and the seat of his power. Satan stirs the enemies of Israel to action on his behalf, inciting them to hatred through a false religion and ancient tribal animosities dating back to the rivalry between Ishmael, son of Abraham's handmaiden Hagar, and Isaac, progenitor of the Jewish race.

Satan sets up a ruler in Jerusalem who exercises authority on his behalf. At the same time, a false prophet appears and inspires the nations to fall down in worship to Satan. Together they incite the nations to war against Israel. But God miraculously protects her and ultimately vanquishes the forces of Satan in a great battle known as the Battle of Armageddon.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE END:

Having advance knowledge of upcoming events can be worth millions if you are an investor. But knowing the ultimate outcome of the battle between the forces of good and evil can mean the difference between surviving and thriving and irrevocable ruin and destruction. For that reason it is imperative you take the time to investigate what the Bible has to say about today's events so you can side with the ultimate victor.
