Mix together the best of classic rock, southern rock and country and you get a brand new sound…“Hard Country.” This foursome and their guitar-driven sound deliver a tremendous debut album, which is climbing the radio charts and making a big splash in the music industry. Because of their unique impact, they have a single climbing the Main Country Chart for USA radio, while their full album simultaneously climbs AAA Chart.

The "Hard Country" album was produced by Malcolm Springer (Matchbox 20, Collective Soul) and drummer/studio engineer Sean Shannon (formerly of Molly Hatchet and the Pat Travers Band). It is eleven powerful tracks of the band’s musical mix of commercial country, heavy rock and southern rock. Center stage is vocalist and guitarist Billy Varnes, who has a big powerful voice with a deep Country soul that makes their songs larger than life. A few of the albums’ highlights include ‘Put the Pedal Down,’ (featuring Pat Travers on slide guitar), the powerful hard-driving title track, the rock ballads ‘I’m Your Man (No Matter When)’ and their debut single release ‘Home to Me’ which put them on the map with commercial Country radio. The album will make you ache to see their live show of high-energy Country with a rock and roll edge.

Outbound Road was released for radio on Lure Records, a Top 5 nominee for “True Country Label of the Year” by the Roots Music Association in 2008. Lure artists have made it to Country radio’s Top 40 ten times in the past four years, and their expanding roster continues to succeed in competing with major label artists. “Though we are an indie label, we operate on the level of a major label and offer our artists the same avenues for success,” says Todd Washburn, owner of Washburn Mastering LLC. Todd, who recently produced an album of songs written mostly by four time Emmy award-winning songwriter Gary Portnoy (“Cheers” TV theme), is also a well-known composer for film, Cable and Satellite TV. Ken Pearson, CEO of Bluesprings Music Group, is a renowned radio promotions executive, who works with many of the major record labels such as Universal/Disney, Mercury, Rounder, Lost Highway, Sugar Hill, Octone/BMG, Warner Brothers, Arista, TVT, Interscope and Octone. He was recently inducted into the Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.
