More than 250 linear feet of NanaWall HSW60 sliding glass panels have been installed throughout the new $321 million renovation of California Memorial Stadium at the University of California-Berkeley. The Stadium opened to fans in September.

With 10 alumni from UC-Berkeley at NanaWall, we are honored to be part of the solution for the unique needs of the stadium,” said Ebrahim Nana, CEO of NanaWall Systems, Inc.

NanaWall Systems, Inc. is proud to announce more than 250 linear feet of NanaWall HSW60 sliding glass panels have been installed throughout the new $321 million renovation of California Memorial Stadium at the University of California-Berkeley.

California Memorial Stadium, which opened in 1923, is one of the most enduring symbols of the University of California-Berkeley campus and has served as a gathering point for students, alumni, faculty, staff and other supporters for nearly 90 years. One of the goals of the renovation was to bring the stadium up to modern standards while maintaining the architecture and character of the historic building.

Fans enter Memorial Stadium on the Plaza level through expansive NanaWall doors– a 45-foot-wide entrance. On the University VIP level, luxury suites feature 175 feet of NanaWall sliding glass walls that provide unobstructed views on the home side from one end zone to the other and a spectacular panorama of the Bay Area from the glass corridor.

One of the stadium’s hottest new features is the sleek 34,000 square foot press box – with 60 feet of sliding glass panels for enhanced visibility. Now the sports commentators don’t have to lean out of the box to see the field.

“With 10 alumni from UC-Berkeley at NanaWall, we are honored to be part of the solution for the unique needs of the stadium,” said Ebrahim Nana, CEO of NanaWall Systems, Inc.

NanaWall Systems are now used in more than 100 stadiums and arenas in North America including San Francisco AT&T Park, New York Yankee Stadium, Boise State University Bronco Stadium, and BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.

The architects on the Memorial Stadium project were HNTB Architecture and STUDIOS Architecture.
