In its second year, the Rising Star Award is bestowed upon an IWIRC member with 8 or less years of experience in her respective field, who has made considerable contributions to her professional success and displayed a high-level of commitment to advancing IWIRC’s mission—enhancing the professional status of women in the insolvency and restructuring profession—at the local, national and/or international levels.
The 2012 Rising Star Award finalists are:
Kimberly Bacher of Shaw Gussis Fishman Glantz Wolfson & Towbin LLC, Secretary, Chicago IWIRC Network;

Christy Prince of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter LPA, Former Chair, Central OH IWIRC Network;
Sage Sigler of Alston & Bird LLP, Co-Chair, Georgia IWIRC Network.
The talented group of finalists were chosen from a group of fifteen nominees from IWIRC networks throughout the world that include attorneys, bankers, turnaround advisors, claims and noticing agents and other restructuring industry consultants and professionals who are actively engaged in the restructuring industry.
“It is such an honor to be able to recognize such hard working, talented and committed women who spend so much of their time furthering the IWIRC mission,” said Jennifer Meyerowitz, incoming Chair of IWIRC. “Moreover, by honoring these women, we also have the pleasure of recognizing and saying thank you to their firms who encourage and support their involvement in IWIRC.”
An award and recognition luncheon will take place at IWIRC’s 19th Annual Fall Conference in San Diego, California on October 24, 2012, where the Rising Star Award will be bestowed.
