Duxter CEO Adam Lieb has been recognized by Empact100 as a top entrepreneur under the age of 30 for his contributions to business and the economy. Duxter, the online social network that empowers Gamers to explore, elevate and celebrate gamer life, has also been selected as a winner of the People's Choice Award with more than 3000 votes from fans, customers and friends of the company. Lieb and Duxter will be honored by senior administration at The White House on September 28, 2012.

Duxter, the online social network that empowers Gamers to explore, elevate and celebrate gamer life, today announced it has been named to the 2012 Empact100 Showcase. An organization focused on making entrepreneurship a viable career option for everyone around the world, Empact100 recognized Duxter founder and CEO Adam Lieb as the leader of one of the United States’ “Top Companies Started by Young Entrepreneurs.” Lieb and Duxter are also honored as this year’s People’s Choice award winner, having received more than three thousand votes from fans, customers, friends and family. Lieb will accept his award during an awards ceremony at the White House later this month.

“I strongly believe that entrepreneurship is the backbone of this country and appreciate organizations like Empact that help cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit, ” said Lieb. “Receiving this accolade is just a testament to the world-class team I have behind me, and the powerful network of supporters we are fortunate enough to have.”

The Empact Showcase is a compilation of companies in the United States started by entrepreneurs who are age 30 and under, and whose annual revenues or operating budgets (for non-profits) are more than $100,000. In 2012, the companies comprising the Empact Showcase contributed more than 8,000 jobs to the economy, and controlled $1 billion in revenue.

About the Empact Showcase

In early 2012, entrepreneurs meeting the minimum criteria from across the country were invited by Empact to apply for the Empact Showcase. The list was judged primarily by revenue, with additional factors such as number of employees, social impact, growth over the past year, and innovativeness coming into play. The official 2012 Empact100 list of the top companies within the Empact Showcase is the determined by the Empact100 Academy, who reviewed the entrepreneurs’ responses.
