Martin has served as in-house counsel and has led IP management program for organizations ranging from high-tech startups to Fortune 500 companies. In this new role, Martin will lead the sales, client acquisition efforts and other corporate development initiatives in addition to providing legal direction for the company.

Prior to joining iRunway, Martin was Vice President of Licensing at IPVALUE Management, Inc., where he led patent monetization activities that included litigation, licensing and patent sales programs. Prior to IPVALUE, Mr. Martin was Vice President and IP Counsel at Level 3 Communications, LLC where he played a key role in creating and implementing a corporate-wide intellectual asset management program. Under his leadership, patenting activities grew over 15-fold in the first year of the program. Martin was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at SwitchPoint Networks, Inc., and also held key executive roles at, First Data Corporation, US West Advanced Technologies, Inc. (now CenturyLink) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
