Santé Specialty Foods founder and owner Sara Tidhar has been named one of 2012’s Women Entrepreneurs of the Year in Silicon Valley by Women’s Initiative for Self Employment, the nation's largest microenterprise training and funding organization.
Women's Initiative launched the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards to recognize women business owners who are supporting their local communities and stimulating the local economy. Sara was recognized for growing Santé Specialty Foods into a thriving business from her kitchen stove, and for continuing to inspire and motivate her employees every day.
“I am thrilled and honored to be recognized by such an esteemed organization,” said Sara. “Owning your own business is a labor of love, and I happily share this recognition with everyone who has worked so hard with me to make Santé a success.”
All eight recipients will be honored at a ceremony in Menlo Park, CA on Thursday, October 11, 2012.
