Texas singer-songwriter television series “Troubadour, TX” begins its much-anticipated second season on Sept. 29/30 with some new faces and a leaner, 30-minute episode format.
After three years in development, 18 months in production, 194,000 miles and 22,000 hours of footage, “Troubadour, TX” premiered across America in 2011, introducing dozens of singer-songwriters as they chased their dreams across the Lone Star State. In its second season, the groundbreaking, documentary-meets-reality TV series is focusing on a more concentrated lineup of talent, characterized as artists either “Chasing The Dream” or “Living The Dream.”
Confirmed “Chasing The Dream” artists include: Kylie Rae Harris and Zane Williams (returning from Season 1), along with newcomers Matt Caldwell, Josh Grider, Cody Johnson and female trio Michaelis, among others.
“Living The Dream” artists include some of Texas’ most established and recognizable names, such as Wade Bowen, Roger Creager, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jack Ingram, Cory Morrow and Walt Wilkins. More “Living The Dream” artists will continue to be added to the show’s lineup.
Produced by 41 Entertainment, the critically acclaimed “Troubadour, TX” series garnered an impressive 10 Telly Awards for its debut season in categories including Musical Score, Editing, Sound Design and Creative Excellence in Docu-Reality-Musical Entertainment.
Season 2 of “Troubadour, TX” is set to air in approximately 22 million households. Episodes will be packaged in most markets with a new Americana travel and lifestyle series called “Bronco Roads.” Hosted by Texas filmmaker, singer-songwriter and author Stacy Dean Campbell, “Bronco Roads” documents Campbell’s travels across the American West in his vintage 1974 Ford Bronco.
Each 30-minute episode of “Bronco Roads” includes three distinct segments: Rediscover, Venture Out and R&R. The Rediscover segment takes the viewer through historical reenactments and archival photos, telling the unique story of each destination. The Venture Out segment explores filmmaking, music and outdoor treks such as fly-fishing, while R&R highlights the local flavors of cuisine, lodging and entertainment.
