The content staff of GoGreen.org has made changes in the past few months that are relevant to not only their blog but also to their articles. Their onsite content has grown tremendously and continues to grow at a rapid pace. Regular blogs appear on a weekday bases with articles appearing three times a week on their site. Though this pace is a rapid one and has seen rapid growth in the site, the content and social marketing team has chosen to expand their content to other sites. The first expansion in this process is to offer content to readers through the popular content site Squidoo.
This option was discussed in great detail and finally approved during the first week of September 2012. Content manager and green consultants for GoGreen.org, Megan Coogle, recently discussed the content expansion and what it will mean for the site as well as for new readers.
“Anyone who runs a professional blog for their business, hobbies or any other blog related endeavor knows that regular content is key. A second key to the mix of reaching readers on a daily basis is to offer various forms for the reader to find you. Though we are incredibly excited about the rapid growth that GoGreen.org is experiencing, we also know that there are more readers who would be interested in our site and what it has to offer. Because of this we have decided to expand to several sites with the first expansion being to Squidoo. We feel that this expansion will reach new readers, enthusiasts and individuals who are just getting into the green living lifestyle.”
This expansion will not change the current format offered by GoGreen.org for the written conten t. In fact, Ms. Coogle assured not only the staff but the readers in a recent podcast that GoGreen.org will continue to offer blogs and articles on a regular basis. “We have no intention of stopping the regular blogs and the articles that are seen our site on a daily basis. GoGreen.org will maintain the content on the site while expanding to different content formats so that the go green experience can be reached across a wider range of readers.”
The expansion will occur during the week of September 19, 2012 and will be announced through the GoGreen.org blog sites on September 24, 2012. The first article is set to appear September 24th, 2012 and will feature new and original content regarding green homes and green home building.
