This book traces Diaz’s origin from the northern part of the Philippine island of Luzon, the city of San Carlos in Pangasinan, his becoming an orphan as a young boy which also taught him to become resourceful and creative, his growing up years living in Manila, living with different relatives, his college life, his becoming an inventor and entrepreneur, his family’s migration and living in the United States, his strong spiritual faith, being an elective official and so much more.

He has been through life’s depressing situations but he managed to have abundant happiness and excitement throughout his life despite all of his hardships. His life experiences and the many challenges that go with it as well as his unwavering faith in God made him who he is today. He is forever thankful for all His blessings and opportunities as he uses all of these to the fullest to help serve mankind for His glory.

Owen Diaz has been an orphan at the age of five. He lived with different relatives and started to earn a living as a shoeshine boy and a flower vendor in the Philippines.He took Electronics Engineering and was an electronics instructor. He was awarded a medal by then President Marcos of the Philippines for his Rice Seedling Transplanter invention. He was a Philippine National Science Competition awardee in Physics. He and Ruth Diaz, his wife have immigrated to the U.S. in 1972 and they have been married for 41 years. They have three children. He holds an Economics degree from Eastern Michigan University and is a CFP Licensee from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. He was a former Financial Securities Broker and Financial Planner.He is a recognized inventor and entrepreneur and holds a U.S. invention patent used by various Fortune 500 companies. He is also a former Urgent Care Clinic Administrator, former president of various Filipino-American organizations and former Mayor of the city of Milan, Michigan. He is currently the Medical Office Manager of his wife’s practice. He is also a former S.E. Region Director for the Michigan State Medical Society Alliance and current President of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Medical Auxiliary. He owns a business that develops and market his inventions. He is currently a candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives.
