Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) September 20, 2012
The California Women’s Conference (CWC) which will take place September 23 and 24 at the Long Beach Convention Center, provides a forum to empower women of all ages, from all walks of life, in building successful businesses, strengthening careers, and positively influencing the world around them. CWC Touchpointe currently provides a place to learn and discuss business, relationships, health, world, or anything pertinent to empowering women. TouchPointe is divided into six categories: The Body, The Self, The Family, The Business, The World, and The Conference. It features content from over 100 writers from across the nation, allowing attendees and expert speakers to interact live before, during and after the Conference. This unique offering is made possible by a strategic partnership with Splore, an innovative software company that empowers individuals to engage in immediate and secure online communications based on interest and/or location.
Typical conferences and events today do not take full advantage of the power of virtual communities and social networks. Splore brings conference organizers, sponsors, speakers, and attendees the opportunity to enjoy greater engagement well beyond the bounds of the actual event, with clear benefits for each audience. Splore provides a rich set of site features that can be tailored uniquely to each event. Site creation and customization is quick and easy, and since all Splore sites are hosted securely in the cloud, there is no need to worry about hardware or networking requirements, IT or developer involvement in site setup and administration, or ongoing maintenance. Sites can be deployed in hours and made available to participants well in advance of the actual event, and then remain live for as long as appropriate to encourage ongoing networking and communication. You can learn more by going to http://www.splore.com or calling (888) 588-7140.
About the California Women's Conference:
The California Women's Conference (CWC), is an annual non-partisan event, and was created in 1985 by then-Governor George Deukmejian, to address the high failure rate among women-owned businesses by giving women entrepreneurs greater access to funding and other helpful resources. Selecting the city of Long Beach as the event's host, city officials and businesses quickly became enthusiastic supporters. Then-First Lady Gloria Deukmejian assumed responsibility for the conference, which became known as the California Governor and First Lady's Conference. Since then, the CWC has always attracted a highly respected and celebrated list of speakers. Today, the tradition of enthusiastically serving women-owned businesses continues under the stewardship of Michelle Patterson, CEO of EventComplete.
