Interactive agency wins multiple Web Marketing Association Awards for manufacturing, public relations, and education verticals

Loewy Design won a 2012 Web Marketing Association (WMA) “Outstanding Website” award for its redesign of the Waterlogic website. Overall, the interactive agency won three awards for website design, including “Public Relations Standard of Excellence” for ICR (http://www.icrinc.com/en) and “Education Standard of Excellence” for Middle Country Public Library (http://www.mcpl.lib.ny.us/).

The agency is delighted to be acknowledged once again by the WMA among leading interactive agencies internationally. Last year the agency won another “Outstanding Website” award, in addition to three other top distinctions.

Loewy’s Waterlogic site scored a 9.5 for design, while the WebAward average was 7.9 for design in the manufacturing category. A WMA judge commented, “LOVED THE SITE! Great design and layout, simple, crisp, clean and easy to stay on for a while. Nice use of drop down feature for extra info on pages. Great work!" Another judge went on to describe Waterlogic as “a creditable site that sets out a logical architecture and navigation.”

Waterlogic marketing executive Stephanie King stated, “I’m delighted to see the new Waterlogic website get the recognition it deserves. A lot of hard work has gone into the project and it has been a challenge to balance all the requirements from around the business. Loewy Design established a new online brand for Waterlogic with an intuitive user interface and a comprehensive product catalogue. The agency leveraged the WordPress content management system to build the site in HTML templates, allowing the client to update content and imagery for the site easily, without knowledge of coding and programming. The site design was also extended to seven other countries in multiple languages.

A WMA judge referred to ICR’s website as featuring “clean and good design, well constructed and easy to navigate.” Loewy Design’s work for Middle Country Public Library was also recognized; a judge stated, “I love the color of this site and the ease of use. The whimsical footer area is playful. The WMA has been setting the standard for website design for more than fifteen years. It assigns several judges to act as users; the judges navigate through each site and evaluate every entry on seven criteria, each of which is worth up to 10 points. The highest score attainable is a 70; scores of 60 or above are given “Outstanding Website” awards in their respective industries. Waterlogic scored 63.5, 8.5 points higher than the WebAward average for the manufacturing category.
