Following the launch of phase six of a multi-module software package, a leading retail managed service provider based in Bethesda, Md., credited Xeo Software of San Antonio for substantial time and cost savings. After implementing the final module in July and August, 2012, the Maryland firm’s finance director said, "I suspect the invoicing module alone has improved our productivity by a factor of 10. As the module develops and as we bring more clients on to it, we expect our productivity to skyrocket even further. The invoicing module is not only saving us time but it gives us more peace of mind that the invoices are going to be accurate. These gains directly translate to improved cash flow.”

The client, a broadband managed service provider to over 25,000 retail locations nationally, ordered the custom-built system from Xeo Software in December 2010, and has implemented the modules in stages since then. The client is now ordering enhancements for the cloud-based enterprise resource application.

  • The six modules were launched in series to support the client’s entire business life cycle.
  • The prequalification module implements proprietary technology and is believed to be the fastest of its kind in the industry.
  • The statement of work module implements an easy-to-use wizard to collect and store numerous facts that are then used to enforce business rules throughout the rest of the application.
  • The sales order module automates what were once very tedious, difficult, and error-prone tasks.
  • The customer-facing portal allows customers to view the status of their orders and to electronically sign sales orders.
  • The reports module allows users to create their own reports and to set up a schedule to receive them via e-mail on a recurring basis.
  • The invoice module automates a process that was time consuming and offered opportunities for error.

Goldman Phipps, a San Antonio law firm that handles mass tort cases, awarded Xeo Software a contract in July 2012, to create custom cloud based software to track all of its cases. Designers and programmers at Xeo Software wrote and deployed the software in less than eight weeks. The Goldman Phipps team can now monitor work for current and prospective clients, attach documents to claims, and view the status of every tort claim down to the smallest detail. Because the solution is cloud-based, attorneys and staffers can access data securely from any web browser.

Also in July, Xeo Software received a contract to construct a custom logistics application for MFS Freight Service, a freight forwarding company based in Honolulu. MFS specializes in transporting goods between Los Angeles or San Francisco and Honolulu. The software to be developed by Xeo Software well into 2013 will run the entire logistics system for the client. The scope includes container tracking, managing the unpacking process, pickup and delivery of containers, plus all invoicing and account receivable functions. Like previous projects, the system will be cloud-based, giving instant data access to authorized company agents with Internet access.

As part of its self-funded R&D efforts, Xeo Software completed a proof-of-concept application that demonstrates how a custom Android app can search and interact with the same data made available via web applications that the company has already created. The new application will be integrated into future offerings, according to the company CEO. McIver added, “We will keep pushing for more product integration. Our clients have entrusted us with improving the critical parts of their businesses, and that’s truly an honor for us.”
