Absolute Vision Media announced the release of their commercial spot, “What You Remember”, by the Chicago White Sox. The television spot is a nostalgic look into the many personal stories that take place at U.S. Cellular Field. Building on Absolute’s reputation for professional efficiency and emotional connection to audiences, the spot was selected over 200 candidates to receive full purchase and distribution from the Sox organization.
Organized through the Poptent media agency, the White Sox posted an assignment for their current Appreciate The Game campaign to the Poptent creative community. Despite their relative size, Absolute won out against large companies and creators from across the nation. “What You Remember”, which features evocative voiceover and sunny slow-motion footage of a White Sox game, was one of just four submissions accepted by the organization.
“We hit a grand slam with this spot. even with less than optimal knowledge of our client’s intentions.” said Mark R Smith, Creative Director of Absolute Vision. “We sought to tell a genuine and compelling story, and I think that really resonated with the White Sox organization.”
