Fans of polarizing pop diva Lady Gaga are thrilled and excited with the announcement of the dates and venues for the North American leg of her concert tour.
Lady Gaga's “Born This Way” Ball will start off on January 11 in Vancouver, Canada. The series of concerts will run until March 2013 and will include major U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Miami.
She was Born This Way....Lady Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. She went to an all-girls Catholic school when she was younger, and as early as then Lady Gaga knew that she did not fit in with the rest of the crowd. She felt that she had to tone down her eccentric nature and try to fit in with her peers. Her only source of confidence was her talent in music, officially starting her piano lessons at the age of four and began her public performances by the time she was fourteen.
She went on to form the Stefani Germanotta Band or SGBand. They were mildly successful in the local New York music scene and it was then that she got picked by Rob Fusari, a music producer. Rob Fusari was the one quoted to be responsible for giving her the stage name of Lady Gaga, constantly acquainting her with the song Radio Ga Ga.
The Icon . . . Lady Gaga is known for her flamboyant costumes, in-your-face performances, and radical socio-political views. One of the reasons why she has become so popular is because of the themes of her songs – she is not afraid to talk about gays and lesbians nor is she afraid to show her individuality.
Lady Gaga is not not to deny that she grew up in the slums of New York City. She has already released three albums and is working hard on her fourth, Artpop, while continuing through several tours and her philanthropy work.
Her personal idols such as Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, and David Bowie, and she has worked her way into becoming a pop icon herself.
