(PRWEB UK) 22 September 2012
Carillion Energy Services, Willmott Dixon and four of the ‘Big Six’ energy suppliers - British Gas, EDF, E.ON and SSE –have pledged their support as Silver Sponsors for Retro Expo, a new retrofit exhibition and conference taking place this October.
“To meet the UK’s carbon targets, and to transform the way we all use energy in our homes and businesses, it will be important to make a step change in the way we retrofit existing buildings through the Green Deal. We are therefore delighted to support this event which will bring together the leading experts from across the sector, allowing the sharing of experience and best practise to take the whole industry forward,” said John Kimber Managing Director New Energy, at British Gas.
“Whilst Green Deal and ECO are huge opportunities for the energy efficiency market, there’s also a high level of misunderstanding – Retro Expo will help you to find your niche and get the facts straight,” said David Adams, Technical Director at Willmott Dixon Energy Services Limited.
As silver sponsors the companies will be speaking and exhibiting at Retro Expo. British Gas, Carillion Energy Services and Willmott Dixon will be taking part in the Green Deal Summit, the definitive conference on the Green Deal.
John Kimber will be exploring how sustainable communities can be created through community retrofits during the Summit’s ‘Retrofit at Scale’ Module.
Nigel Taylor, Managing Director at Carillion Energy Services will be giving the Provider’s point of view of The Green Deal; explaining their approach and debating the best way of realising the potential of the retrofit market.
David Adams will be participating in a panel discussion looking at how we can unlock demand in the domestic market.
“We’re delighted to have got such key players in the retrofit agenda on board. The four of the big six energy suppliers collectively supplying nearly 70% of all electricity sales in the UK, it is essential they are at the show. Retro Expo is really shaping up to be the UK’s leading event for energy efficient design and learning,” said David Pierpoint, Business Development Director of Retro Expo.
