Fredericksburg, VA (PRWEB) September 23, 2012
Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) is hosting a fashion-forward, fabulous, and dazzling Spirit Girls’ Night Out to inspire women to love the person they are every day. On Wednesday, October 17, MWHC will welcome women to this event and help them get their groove back, hug their curves and face the woman in the mirror. This fun and informative event is designed to move women towards better overall health and vibrant living by providing education on breast health, gynecologic procedures, plastic surgery and more. Women will also enjoy shopping, wine, chocolate and a motivational message from author and humorist, Renee Rongen.
In 2011, 43% of national Girls Night Out attendees made an appointment with a healthcare provider as a result of something they learned. “These events allow women to come together in a trusted environment for information presented in an empowering format,” said Tanya Abreu, President and National Program Director, Spirit of Women Hospital Network. “When you present education in a dazzling way, women leave ready to activate change to impact their lives and the lives of their families.”
Health education, health screenings, free one-on-one consultations with an OB-GYN, and other fun activities will be woven throughout Girls Night Out to emphasize the importance of these health issues. This “don’t miss” event will be held at:
95 Riverside Parkway
Fredericksburg, VA 22406
5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
All women of all ages are welcome. Register here!
At this event, MWHC will also be collecting costume jewelry to be donated to the women of EmPower House (formerly Rappahannock Council on Domestic Violence), and to the Mary Washington Thrift Shoppe.
