David J. Dykeman, a shareholder, registered patent attorney, and co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property Practice in the Boston office, has been named to the Editorial Advisory Board of Medical Device + Diagnostic Industry (MD+DI) magazine. Members of MD+DI’s Editorial Advisory Board lend their medtech industry expertise to review articles and provide the editors with feedback on editorial content.
A registered patent attorney with more than 15 years of experience in patents, intellectual property, and licensing, Dykeman’s practice focuses on securing strategic worldwide intellectual property protection and related business strategy for high-tech clients, with a particular emphasis on medical devices, healthcare IT and life sciences. Dykeman also performs patent due diligence to assess patent portfolios for venture capital investment, mergers and acquisitions, and licensing opportunities. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC), and was appointed to the Massachusetts Life Sciences Collaborative Research, Innovation & Commercialization Task Force. He also serves as the Founding Co-Chair of the ABA Section of Science & Technology Law's Medical Device Committee.
An author of over 35 articles and a speaker at more than 30 conferences on medical devices and life sciences intellectual property, Dykemanis recognized for his industry contributions. In June of 2012, he was named to the “40 Medtech Innovators Under 40” list by MD+DI magazine. In 2011, he was honored as one of Boston's "40 Under 40" innovative business leaders by the Boston Business Journal. Recently, Dykeman was recognized as one of the top 250 Patent and Technology Licensing Attorneys in the world by Intellectual Asset Management Magazine.
