Orange County’s Mercy House is grateful for the support of Michael Omidi, MD and Julian Omidi, co-founders of No More Poverty. “Helping people find their way back home” is Mercy House’s philosophy. To do that, it offers a continuum of care to homeless men, women, and children including homeless prevention programs, emergency services, transitional housing, and permanent housing with supportive services.
“Our mission is to help people and families to find or keep permanent housing, to have a place they can call ‘home’,” says Allison Harvey, Development Director of Mercy House. “We are very grateful to No More Poverty and the Omidi brothers for their support which enables us to help many of the people struggling in today’s tough economy.”
Looking ahead, November is National Homelessness Awareness month and Mercy House is planning a variety of fund raising events to bring more attention to what has become a pervasive issue for so many. This is a great time to get involved and donate time and money to the help others “find their way home.” Contact Mercy House through their website at: mercyhouse.net
