The Wharton Women in Business (WWIB) Conference announces that it will celebrate its 14th anniversary Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. This year’s Conference, entitled “The Building Blocks of Success: From Asking to Acting” will highlight female professionals who have put theory into practice to achieve continued success throughout their careers. They will share their professional and personal journeys with conference attendees, providing a diversity of thoughts and opinions on how to be an effective leader and take action to realize one’s career and personal goals. The Conference will also feature networking sessions and recognition of this year's Kathleen McDonald Distinguished Alumna Award. WWIB is especially proud of the variety of speakers at this year’s Conference, ranging from small business entrepreneurs to managers at established corporations. The impressive array of speakers covers a wide variety of professions and industries, including finance, consulting, retail, non-profit and technology. Panels will discuss timely subjects in entrepreneurship, social impact, media and technology, finance and consulting as well as strategies to achieve success in the workplace. In addition, networking sessions will allow MBA students to connect with professionals in their fields of interest, and a specific entrepreneur networking reception will facilitate dialogue between students interested in starting their own businesses and women who have achieved success in their own ventures.
