You always have a choice in life; it’s up to you which one you choose. If it is a bad choice and comes out to be a tragic one, turn it around for the good, and deal with what you have left

In “His Love Called My Name: An Inspiring Story of Faith and Hope Following Tragedy” (published by iUniverse) Angel Eyes shows the horrors of an abusive relationship behind closed doors.

An excerpt from “His Love Called My Name”:

“You always have a choice in life; it’s up to you which one you choose. If it is a bad choice and comes out to be a tragic one, turn it around for the good, and deal with what you have left.”

Angel’s first relationship is explained in dark, gritty detail. Though miserable, she chooses to stay in the relationship for the sake of her daughter. Each time she thinks something good is happening in the relationship she finds it is actually becoming worse.

The abusive relationship hits it climax when Angel awakens to find herself on fire. After sustaining first, second and third degree burns on 65 percent of her body, she must fight to stay alive and find a better future for her daughter.

Readers will follow Angel’s journey from dark to light as she attempts to escape the world she knows. Angel hopes her story will help other victims of domestic abuse.

“With all the domestic violence,” notes Angel, “women and men need to know there is an ‘out’ of a situation,”
